The Palace is named after Andrea Odoni, famous 16th century art and
antiques collector,
who was one of the first residents of the palace. Andrea Odoni is
named in the historical town archives for relationships of friendship
and hospitalities that joined him to painters and artists like Girolamo
da Treviso, Vasari (who defined his home "la casa dei virtuosi" ),
Lotto da Treviso and a famous architect Serlio. These two last
people in particular are emblematic the first one in order to have
completed an oil on canvas with Odoni image conserved today in London
(Royal Collection Hampton Court) the second for the realization of
the first "Serliana" in Venice (in the north wall of the palace) with
only elements in Istria marble. A beautiful internal courtyard kept
as it was in XVI century welcome our guests at Palazzo Odoni. The
external stairs will bring you inside the building leaving you immersed
in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. All the furnitures are not
in style but original so that the feeling of travelling in the past
is actually real. Alessandro will be at your complete disposal in
helping you with any request youshould have while in Venice.
